Our Leadership
Dr. Blessing Palmberg is the Founder and Executive Director of the Girls for Environmental Resilience and Empowerment (GERE) Foundation, a girl-centered organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women to become leaders in environmental resilience, climate action, and sustainable development.
With a strong passion for social impact, education, and advocacy, Dr. Palmberg founded GERE to address the intersection of gender inequality, climate vulnerability, and limited access to environmental education, particularly affecting girls and young women in underserved communities.
She believes deeply that empowering girls with knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills is one of the most effective ways to build resilient communities and protect the environment.
- Climate and environmental education for girls
- School outreach and community engagement
- Leadership development and advocacy
- Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action)
“When girls are educated, empowered, and supported, they do not only change their own lives — they transform communities and help secure a sustainable future for generations to come.”
